Whether it's the wind when cycling, gusts at the seaside or cold winter days in the city: the GORE-TEX® membrane serves as a protective layer and doesn't let the wind get to your feet. So your feet stay snug and warm during any activity. No matter how stormy it is outside.
The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that moisture can escape to the outside without hindrance. This is due to its pores, which are 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. This keeps your feet pleasantly dry – every step of the way.
The micropores in the GORE-TEX® membrane are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water. These pores ensure that our models with GORE-TEX® lining are completely waterproof.
Tip: When wearing shoes with a GORE-TEX membrane, we recommend that you do not wear socks or stockings made of pure cotton. Cotton absorbs and retains moisture, which can result in your feet becoming cold and wet despite the functional shoe. Instead, socks made from a cotton blend should be worn to avoid this problem.
